I have always thought that the life of Mary Jemison was an interesting one. This particular image is of the statue located in Letchworth Park. I decided to remove the statue from its setting and placing it by its self. By doing so it gives her the look of a religious figure. After I found out she lived to be 91 I thought that producing just as many images would allow the consumer the chance to own more than just an image but a part of her amazing life.
